About

The long version…

Sixth Degree Designs was created for one reason: as we developed websites for friends, family, and clients we realized we had a knack for working with local businesses who are targeting local customers.

For example, have you ever gone to Google or Yahoo and searched for something near you like “Mexican restaurant in Irvine,” or “plumber in Newport Beach”, or maybe "Orange County web design"? We do it all the time! So, what we do is help your customers find your business when they search online.

But what happens once they find your website through search engines? The important part is making sure you can convert website visitors into customers and clients. A lot of people who claim to be “search engine optimization experts” will do a good job helping people find you online, but the result is an ugly website that doesn’t convert visitors to customers. Not sure what I’m talking about? Check out this website. Would you buy anything from them? Neither would we.

In a nutshell…

We’re web designers. We make websites that are easy for our clients to maintain and easy for their customers to use. We also make websites easy to find on search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

With our clients, we have three main goals:

We make websites, big and small. We make them beautiful and we make them functional. Some people say form follows function which we believe is true, but we also believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice one for the other. Why not have both?

Once the website is there, we need to connect your current and potential customers to it. How do we do that, you ask? Well, there are a variety of ways, and for some clients we do all of them, and for some clients, only a few of the options make sense. These strategies include search engine optimization (huh?), social media marketing (what?), online advertisement, geolocation strategies (???), and offline marketing strategies (details).

The final goal is converting website visitors into customers. This includes targeted marketing campaigns, design elements within the website, and tracking visitors to optimize the website. We can monitor how visitors are arriving to the website (from where, if they searched, what keywords they used, etc.) and we can also monitor how they use the website once they are on it. This allows us to make changes to the website to optimize conversion rates.
